They treated my sweet baby girl Mila with the most love and care I could ask for. She had an inoperable heart tumor and when the time came to say goodbye they never once made us feel pressured, rushed, anything negative at all. They treated us and my pup with the more care than I could ever ask for. Thank you for being so loving to My wife and Iās fur family. -Ethan, Marion. September 2025
Dr Becker and the heartland team is hands down the best place to take your fur babies to when they are sick or just there for a check up. They really do care and will love your pet just as much as you do. My cat Gizmo may not like the car ride there but I know once he is in their care he will be in the best hands possible. Heartland will always be the place I recommend for your pets needs. -Amber, Marion. September 2025
My dog absolutely loves going to see the vets. They get on the floor with her and she gets all the cuddles in the world. -Vicki, Marion. September 2025
Heartland Animal Hospital offers CT scans for cats at a price that is significantly lower than ANY other animal hospital in the area. They are sent to SVS Imaging for interpretation and given to you on a thumb drive, as well as forwarded to your primary vet. It only took about 2-3 days for our primary vet to receive the report and share it with us. They also did the necessary bloodwork, which was about $120, almost $100 cheaper than our primary vet. I am sharing this because my sweet cat Simba was recommended for a CT scan by Blue Pearl, who refused to refer us to Heartland because they “don’t personally know the quality of their scans.” They would only refer us to 2 separate clinics that are each 2 hours away from us, had estimates that were an average of $600 higher than Heartlands total ended up being, and had waitlists nearing SIX MONTHS for a dermatology appointment, at which point they would allow you to schedule a CT scan if they separately decide it’s needed. If we had accepted this, Simba would be dead by then, and we would have never even known he had cancer. Thankfully, Kim and another receptionist/tech at Heartland answered *every* single question I had in this process and were able to fit Simba in within the same month. I was nervous, but Heartland walked us through everything, no matter how much I emailed and called them, and communicated with our primary vet promptly as well. Our primary vet provided our recommendation for his scan, because as stated above, the actual dermatologist who said we needed it at Blue Pearl would not. Though our news was extremely bleak, Heartland allowed us the privilege of knowing my baby is terminally ill within just 3 weeks of my first communication with them, rather than 6+ months. They made a process that was daunting and potentially traumatic as seamless as possible. He is now on prednisolone, and we are enjoying EVERY second we have with him in a way we wouldn’t have if we didn’t know. -Yael, Marion. September 2025
Our little dog Sammy was pretty sick. We usually go to the Fairfax location however they were booked full on Tuesday 7/2. She checked with the Marion location and got us in to see Dr Murphy. She checked Sammy out and ran several tests. He had a stomach issue and she gave him a couple shots and put him on a different wet food that was for digestive health. Dr Murphy was very caring and our experience was great. We definitely recommend Heartland Animal Hospital. -Jim, Marion. July 2025
I am beyond impressed by the level of care provided here. Our pup is very nervous, and they were extremely accommodating. Every staff member displayed a combination of empathy, knowledge, and professionalism that deserves to be celebrated. I cannot express how grateful I am. And I genuinely cannot recommend their services enough 10/10!! -Ben, Marion. May 2025
Excellent place for your pet. I have been bringing my two dogs here before they moved to this new location. The staff is always friendly and helpful (Including the human helpers š) and care is top notch. -Paul, Marion. May 2025
