When did you purchase HAH?
2010

Where are you from?
Washington. Iowa

Family/Pets:
Husband: Nathan Hein
Daughter: Vivian
Son: Rowan
Dog: Pupcorn (Golden Doodle)

Why did you want to become a veterinarian?
My dad was a vet- after watching him I knew I wanted to be a vet by the 4th grade

One thing you want pet owners to know:
You don’t need to spend a lot of money to get high-quality food. I would recommend staying away from boutique and gourmet pet foods, there are other brands out there that are better quality and science backed. I.e. Purina, Hills, Iams and Royal Canin

What is the biggest lesson you have learned so far from being in practice?
Nothing is more important than communication. Information can be misunderstood between doctor to client. Doctor to staff. Staff to client. Discovering away to communicate the answers so everyone understands is the hardest thing to learn, and it changes from person to person.

Ever have challenges as a vet?
Doodles and table food do NOT mix. Not a symbiotic relationship. I have learned the hard way.

If you weren’t a veterinarian, what job would you like to have?
Probably something in marketing or media

What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
I minored in dance at ISU and was captain of the ISU Dance Team in undergrad.
