Why did you want to become a veterinarian?
Growing up on a family farm I spent a great deal of time around animals and knew it was something I was interested in for a career.

One thing you want pet owners to know:
Regular exams are important for detecting illnesses and problems early before they become serious issues.

What is the biggest lesson you have learned so far from being in practice?
Continuous learning is extremely important. The world of medicine is ever changing, and you must always try to better yourself.

Ever have challenges as a vet?
The stress of delivering bad news to clients. Many clients have become friends over the years, and you take care of their pets (see from puppy to senior) and it can be very difficult day in and day out.

If you weren’t a veterinarian, what job would you like to have?
Coach. I love coaching my kid’s youth teams. Helping kids develop character and seeing them work through difficult situations.

What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
I am a twin.
