Why did you want to become a veterinarian?
I grew up with sled dogs, horses, all sorts of weird pets and always loved being around animals.
One thing you want pet owners to know:
Preventing diseases is always easier than treating them!
What is the biggest lesson you have learned so far from being in practice?
It is our job to educate owners on all their options and it’s the owners’ job to decide which option to pursue to treat their pets.
Ever have challenges as a vet?
FLEAS! Those are hard to get rid of! Again, it is easier to prevent than to treat.
If you weren’t a veterinarian, what job would you like to have?
I would probably be a physician’s assistant or a nurse practitioner.
What is something people would be surprised to learn about you?
I practice Brazilian jiu jitsu in my free time.
